Upstairs Attic Bedrooms
Both with twin beds, lamps, pillows and duvets and storage for clothing. One room has a wardrobe/airing cupboard. These rooms are accessed by a steep staircase and care should be taken with young children and the more unstable of us. It is best to come down these stairs backwards. Velux roof windows allow views across the bay and beyond. Please close these when away from the Cottage as a safety precaution and to prevent rain coming in.

The Cottage fronts onto Kentallen Bay which is a small harbour of Loch Linnhe, boasting moorings and wonderful views. There is a mostly fenced garden including a small patio area with table and chairs (kept in the shed) suitable for a BBQ and sunbathing. Immediately between The Cottage and the Bay is the A828. Children and dogs should not be un-accompanied crossing the road. The dustbin is emptied on Wednesday mornings and so should be put by the road first thing.. |

When you arrive
The Cottage overlooking Kentallen bay lies between the village of Duror and Ballachulish. Expect a warm and friendly greeting to welcome you to The Highlands. Guests are welcome from 4pm on the day of arrival.
Heating
Background heating is afforded by newly fitted storage heaters. In cooler months the multi-fuel coal and wood burning stove provides not only a tremendous amount of heat but adds a unique cosiness to the whole cottage. Please read the instructions for its safe and efficient use. By keeping the internal doors open when it’s lit the whole cottage will be kept warm. Logs and coal are available just outside the cottage.
As You Go
To enable us to welcome our next guests we would ask you to vacate the cottage by 10am on your last day, unless by agreement with ourselves.
Responsibility
Please note that we can take no responsibility for any injury or harm to you and your belongings during your stay. If anything is broken please let us know so that we can ensure a replacement is found before the next visit. A charge may be made to cover the cost
Fire Safety
There are two smoke alarms, one at each entrance to the kitchen. Please check these when you arrive. There is a fire extinguisher and blanket in the kitchen. Ensure the wood-burning stove is out or only ticking over with closed vents before going out.
Emergency
First Aid. We have stocked a small box with essentials, which is stored in the kitchen wall cupboard. If you use anything please let us know so we can ensure it is restocked.
